The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is accepting applications from professional, outgoing and committed candidates for a role within our busy concierge department.

We are looking for a well presented applicant with exemplary customer service and communication skills who is able to work independently within a small team. You must possess initiative and passion to provide our guests with that special elegant, stylish and sophisticated French touch.

The successful applicant will take pride in attending to the smallest of details to complement our professional five star concierge team. Experience is preferred but is not necessary, although favourable consideration will be given to applicants with experience in a similar environment and with a working knowledge of the Opera property management system.


About the Role:

The duties are varied and weekend work will be involved. The night porter is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel’s concierge department during the overnight shift. The key responsibilities of this role include:
Assist guests with their luggage
Assist with after hours engineering and housekeeping requests
Assist with general guest enquiries and requests
Deliver express checkout envelopes
Deliver newspapers
Maintain clean and tidy public areas
Offer guests a warm welcome and farewell
Perform security checks and secure the hotel entrances overnight
Valet park and retrieve vehicles after hours (please note, a full New South Wales manual drivers licence is required for this position)
