We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Duty Technician to join the Engineering Team at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach. This position is integral to the success of the Engineering Team.

Successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer to maintain, using safe working practices, the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings to protect the asset and ensure it remains a functional, pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and other employees.

Scope of responsibilities

Performing general maintenance duties
Maintenance of site services and equipment
Keep up to date records of repairs and maintenance
Liaise with other departments within the hotel and guests as required
Carry out other duties as required to maintain hotel operations


The successful candidate will have to possess:


Current QLD Electrical License
Maintenance experience
Experience in a similar role in a hotel environment preferred but not essential
High standard of grooming and presentation at all times
Team player
Ability to prioritise
Available to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required
