World Education (WE) is a US-based International NGO that supports social and economic development programs for disadvantaged populations around the world. The organization has been active since 1954 and has a presence in over 30 countries worldwide. WE has been working in Indonesia since 1991, supporting local organizations and government in multiple sectors including basic education, youth development, microfinance, natural resource management, agriculture, and labor issues. World Education is preparing a bid for a multi-country project that supports the capacity of domestic worker organizations (DWOs). In support of this work in Indonesia we are requesting applications for the position of Country Coordinator. This role would be the lead staff member working with local DWOs and NGOs in Indonesia, helping to coordinate activities across organizations, unions, and networks at the local, national, and regional level. Experience managing complex relationships and operating a media campaign are necessary skills. The particular responsibilities of the role can be found below. Responsibilities: •Responsible for liaising with the lead local NGO and providing technical inputs to the Domestic Worker Organization (DWO). •In conjunction with the Chief of Party, lead capacity assessments of DWOs and prepare Action Plans. •Developing communications/advocacy strategy in conjunction with COP. •Assisting lead local NGO/DWO in developing curriculum and training materials. •Responsible for representing the project with all stakeholders. •Assisting lead local NGO/DWO in developing public private partnerships. •Liaise with local government and other service providers to utilize mechanisms for child protection services. Requirements: •Training, curriculum development and project management experience (including fiscal oversight and proven coordination skills). •Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required for this role. •Must be Indonesian national. •Experience writing reports and creating presentations in English. •Familiarity with quantitative monitoring and evaluation systems. •Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. •Experience with social protection programming preferred and, in particular, child labor programming. •Bachelor’s degree required, (Advanced degree preferred). •Minimum five years in international development.
