We are currently looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing to join our new team at InterContinental Osaka in Japan. InterContinental Osaka is a brand new luxury hotel in Osaka Japan scheduled to be open in the summer of 2013. The hotel comprises of 270 luxurious rooms and service apartments, along with restaurants, bar and banqueting facilities. The hotel is well located in the heart of the city, Osaka Station North Yard, which features a concentration of urban amenities, high-end offices and 10,000 sqm plaza and pedestrian mall. The new social centre of Osaka.


You'll be an opening member of this hotel to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the hotel to ensure revenue and room night sales goals are achieved, sales and marketing strategies are set, tactical plans are created and implemented, and results are monitored and achieved. You will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible to achieve budgeted revenues and personal/team sales goals and maximize profitability. You will participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan, and financial plans.

Job Requirements:

Ideally, you'll have a Bachelors' degree or higher education qualification and equivalent in Marketing or related field, and 4 or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team. Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends are required. Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) in Japanese & English fluently.
